Story

From web pages to public services.

How my work has grown since 2018.

  1. 2018

    It started with the web

I started as a web and graphic designer in Nigeria, building websites for businesses in many industries with HTML, CSS and WordPress. I also handled their SEO and Google Business listings, designed ads for early crypto projects, and taught beginners web design. It is where I learned that design has to meet business goals.

  2. 2019

    From pages to products

In 2019 I moved into UI design. Instead of websites that promote a business, I started designing apps and dashboards that people use every day to get things done. I learned to think about the whole task a person is trying to finish, not only the screen in front of them.

  3. 2020

    The work behind the screen

In Lagos I designed a self-service portal, a learning management system and a real estate platform. Each product had staff and processes behind it, and that is where most problems began. So I started designing the whole flow, from the customer's first click to the team that handles the request.

  4. 2021

    Designing financial products

From 2021 I designed financial products: a banking app and web app, and a bookkeeping app for small business owners. I worked on sign-up, identity checks, transfers, bill payments, cards, and dashboards for sales, stock and debts. People trust these apps with their money, so every step had to be clear.

  5. 2024

    Services people rely on

In 2024 I started a project in government-funded care in Australia, where every form, record and roster has to meet strict rules. I also began building CRM systems for clients in Australia and New Zealand, so their teams can manage customers and daily work in one place.

  6. Now

    From service model to production

Today I design services that are funded by government, regulated, or used by the public. I work from research and the service model through to production code, and I stay with the team until what goes live matches what was designed.

Testimonials

From people I've worked with.

  • Yemmy took the time to understand how our internal operations really run before he designed anything. His brainstorming turned scattered requirements into a clear, well-structured system, and he coordinated every stage of the work with care. The platform he delivered streamlined our daily workflows and took real pressure off the team.

    Claudia RogersAdmin, NDIS Provider
  • Yemmy has been an exceptional technology architect for as long as I have known him. He learned how a dental practice actually runs, then delivered far more than a website: sharp systems analysis and solutions that support our patients and our growth. He is brilliant at what he does, and I recommend him without hesitation.

    Dr Aisha AdewaleCEO, Glaze Dental
  • Working with Yemmy is a lesson in design and engineering leadership. He makes sure everyone understands the project structure and the hard parts, then breaks complex problems down brick by brick. He keeps the whole team engaged, stays ahead of software trends and turns them into real business value. I have loved every project we have shared.

    Tobi OladunjoyeProduct Designer
  • Yemmy understands the business side of software as well as the technology. He listened to the challenges we face every day, understood the metrics that matter to us, and delivered a platform that made the most difficult parts of our work simple. Our processes now run smoothly, and he made the whole experience easy for our team.

    Delia ToloaSIL Coordinator, NDIS Provider
  • Bringing Yemmy in on a contract was a great call. He led design and oversaw key parts of the engineering on our crypto and fintech products, always with a calm and thoughtful approach. His real strength is resilience: when the work gets hard, he keeps building and keeps everyone moving forward. A great person and a partner you can rely on.

How I work

The principles behind my work.

  • Service before screen

I start with the journey, the staff process and the policy. The screens come after, once I understand how the service really works.

  • Every decision has a reason

I write down why each design decision was made, so the team can build on it with confidence and change it when the facts change.

  • Compliance is part of the design

Audit trails, eligibility rules and reporting duties shape the product from day one. Leaving them to the end leads to products that fail an audit.

  • I stay until it ships

I work with developers until the product goes live, so what people use matches what was designed.

Capabilities

What I bring to a team.

Five skills I use together, from the first research session to launch.

See them in the work
  1. 01

    Service design

I map the whole service, what customers see and what happens behind it, before I design a single screen.

    • Service blueprints
    • Journey mapping
    • Service models
    • Research
    • Usability testing
  2. 02

    Information architecture

I give complex, data-heavy products a clear structure, so people can find what they need.

    • Enterprise platforms
    • Case management
    • Operations systems
    • Admin systems
  3. 03

    Design systems

I build shared components and rules that keep a product consistent as it grows.

    • Design tokens
    • Component libraries
    • Interaction standards
    • Design governance
  4. 04

    Accessibility

I design to WCAG 2.2 AA from the start, not as a final check.

    • WCAG 2.2 AA
    • Built in from the start
  5. 05

    Prototyping and build

I build prototypes and front-end code, so developers get something close to the real product.
